Tournament dates back to 2012, when the idea of the tournament was first developed as a student project at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, written by the main organizer of the tournament. Valmiera has relatively high level of sports infrastructure, but no youth tournament of this type was organized here before.
Three years passed before the project saw its first tournament in August of 2015. Today, the tournament has been running for 6 years, and every year the organizers strive to make the tournament more successful and attractive to participants and visitors to the city.
